• Infections such as Herpes, Hepatitis, Toxoplasmosis, GBS
• Preterm labor
• Preterm rupture of membranes
• Low amniotic fluid (oligohydramnios)
• Excessive amniotic fluid (polyhydramnios)
• Advanced maternal age
• Family history of gene disorders or birth defects
• Suspected fetal abnormalities or possible birth defects
